About Me
Hello Beautiful Souls, my name is Brittney.
While I had dabbled in yoga over the years, I did not truly fall in love with Yoga until 2019. I found a small, local studio where I learned that yoga was so much more than a “workout”. This inspired me to become a yoga instructor (I should also mention, I have 10+ years of experience teaching Group Fitness). I started training with the studio owner and completed an online AFFA Yoga Course to get started. Then 2020 arrived and we were in a pandemic. The studio I was hoping to teach at temporarily shut down and we, as a society, were in shut down as well. My daily at home yoga practice helped get me through those difficult times. I knew once in person trainings were available again, I needed to find a 200hr YTT program. Fast forward to the end of 2021 when I found West Hartford Yoga. I completed their 200hr WHY Power training in 2022. The training gave me so much more than the ability to lead a yoga class, it really sparked a spiritual fire within me that continues to burn!
Since then, have completed various other courses/certifications including my 85-hour Prenatal Yoga Certification and Yoga Sculpt Certification to better support a diverse range of students. As a teacher, I create thoughtful, unique sequences that emphasize the mind-body connection. My hope is that you leave class feeling stronger, more balanced, and deeply present. To me, yoga is more than a workout—it's a way of life grounded in kindness and self-compassion.
I have created BessentiallyBalanced to share my yoga teaching journey as well as my love of all things spiritual. My hope is to inspire others and to connect with like-minded individuals.
